The Arab community is deeply mourning the heartbreaking loss of O’Neal Kelley, 84, and his wife, Martha Kelley, 79, who tragically lost their lives in a devastating two-vehicle crash on Sunday evening in Cullman County.

According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, the crash occurred around 6:15 p.m. on April 12, when the couple’s 2017 Nissan Rogue was struck by a 2011 Peterbilt tractor-trailer driven by 33-year-old Aaron C. Mitchell of Hanceville. The collision took place along Alabama 91 near Cullman County 649, about six miles east of Holly Pond. O’Neal Kelley was pronounced dead at the scene, while Martha Kelley, severely injured, was transported to Cullman Regional Medical Center, where she later passed away.

The sudden and tragic deaths of O’Neal and Martha have left their family, friends, and the entire Arab community in profound grief. Loved ones are mourning not just the loss of two individuals but the loss of a couple who shared a lifetime of love, companionship, and devotion. Their passing in the same heartbreaking moment has left a void that is deeply felt by all who knew them.

O’Neal and Martha were remembered by those who loved them for the strength of their bond and the warmth they brought to their community. Their lives were a testament to the enduring power of love and partnership, and their absence will be keenly felt by all who were privileged to know them.

As the investigation by ALEA Highway Patrol Division continues, many are choosing to focus on honoring the lives of O’Neal and Martha rather than the circumstances of their tragic end. In the face of grief, family and friends are finding solace in the cherished memories of a couple whose love will remain a lasting symbol of devotion.

May O’Neal and Martha Kelley rest in peace, and may their family and friends find strength and comfort in the days ahead.
