According to authorities, the crash occurred around 6:57 p.m. near Shelby County 22, approximately three miles north of Montevallo. Alvarado was riding a Kawasaki Ninja 400 ABS motorcycle when it collided head-on with a Nissan Pathfinder. Upon impact, he was thrown from the motorcycle and tragically pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Pathfinder, 45-year-old Arriaga Alejandro Gonzalez, sustained injuries and was transported to Baptist Health Shelby Hospital for treatment.
